Deck Equipment
Prout Catamarans are designed for short-handed crews. The helmsman can attach a harness while in the saloon step into the cockpit and operate the vessel single handed without leaving the cockpit or unhooking the harness. All sails can be raised lowered reefed and trimmed by one person in the cockpit. The cutter rig keeps the size of each sail small enough for a single person to handle. There is no need to wake the off watch crew for sail changes.

Prout 45s are the definitive world cruising catamarans in their size range. They are made to cross-oceans in comfort safety and with a minimum of crew.
