2003 Bayliner 2152 Capri Classic combines the best of best features of a Run-about, A boat for skiing or tubing with room for family & friends, and a cuddy cabin for two for the nights you don't want to go home. Also both port and starboard back to back seats will fold down for getting a tan or for the night.With the 5.0 litre MerCruiser with the Alpha I outdrive will provide plenty of torgue & pulling power for tubing or water sking. With a cruising speed of about 37 mph and top speed over 40 mph - who needs a noisy go-fast boat. Although the boat has a modified deep V with a 20 degree dead rise astern enabling the Bayliner to plane at about 20-24 mph increasing fuel economy for a thrifty day or weekend on the water. Oh - one more thing - unlike competitors, the engine cover just slide off versus having to lift a heavy cover.Comfort on the water is paramount for the family. Unlike a bow rider - if the wind and waves kick up a bit - you will be comfortable without the worry of waves coming over the bow into the front of the boat in the case of a bow rider. Further on windy days in early spring or fall - the windshield and the enclosed forward part of the boat blocks the wind increasing your cruising season.The walk through windshield, with the steps, provides easy access to the bow for handling lines for docking or anchoring. Notice the Danforth anchor is stored in the anchor locker and easily lowered & raised utilizing the bow roller whilst the railings help keep you safely onboard.As you can see the cockpit has plenty of room, but the best part is the cuddy cabin - for younger kids that get tired of swimming can go forward and l ay down out of sun to color or take a nap.The area between the v-berths has a cushion that hides the porta-potie; but there is room below for changinging. Helping to keep the forward area cool is a hatch. The vessel overall is clean. Because it is in dry storage it presently gets dirty easily. The boat will need its spring wash & waxing.
Carpets in the cockpit are reasonable clean - no stains.
The carpet around the engine compartment on the corners is pulling up a bit.
The hull looks good - there is one area on the stern, port side there are some white marks that would easily be removed with a magic eraser & wax.
Overall the Bayliner is pretty clean and no tears on the vinyl seats.
